A hypothesis is a hypothesis which is designed to predict the problem at hand and it should be designed to make predictions that you feel confident will happen in the future. If the problem is too complex for you to even come up with a hypothesis, then consider adding more explanatory power to the mixture. If there isn't much explanatory power in the problem, then it's probably better to take a break until you can come up with a good hypothesis.As you can see, the key to writing a scientific method paper is to create a hypothesis and then develop an experiment to test it. Once you've developed the experiment, you then need to write a paper that explains why you came to your conclusions and why you believe they are correct.
